Each drawing is a unique story. An individual's tale given to the artist in words - sometimes spoken sometimes written - portrayed through her vision and translated into a picture. The struggle of the drawing is maintained and clear to see as there is no pre-sketching or compositional planning just drawing directly and intuitively in pen. Mistakes and alterations are all included and there to see - reminiscent of the life it portrays! The paper is transparent and the materials everyday - cheap if you like - throw away almost! The story portraits are not supposed to be precious or valuable as objet d'artes, yet the imagery is both precious and invaluable to the person represented at the time in their life it depicts.
