Fiona is a trained woven Textiles specialist from Loughborough College of Art graduating in 1993 with a BA honours degree. She went on to complete a PGCE in Art and Design at Goldsmiths University, London in 1996 and became an artist educator.

Fiona has taught young, old and everything in between. She has taught in the UK and overseas, in schools, prisons, care homes, art galleries and in adult education. Her experiences as a teacher have moulded her interests as an artist.

Drawing is her passion and pen her go to medium. Her work uses visual imagery and symbolism to tell stories, relay messages or explore those difficult questions.  Fiona's keen interest in psychology, well-being, spirituality and behaviour is integral to her artistic explorations.

Artwork often starts in black - remaining monochromatic - with colour used intuitively when required to relay key messages, convey emotions or highlight symbolic concepts.

In 2025 Fiona became a member of the OchrePrint Studio and is developing a collection exploring her ongoing interest in Samsara.

Whilst living in Bermuda she exhibited at the Bermuda Society of Arts, was part of the rich artistic community there and became education coordinator for the Bermuda National Gallery holiday programmes. She now works solely as an artist building her portfolio and working towards her first solo exhibition.
